Remember to Breathe!
Once again I've been
inspired by my incredible
clients in "hearing" what
you need from me this week.
In this busy, rushed, and
sometimes chaotic world we
live in, our breathing is an
important barometer for us.
And too many of you are
forgetting how important it
is. Deep, full breaths
will reconnect you to Truth
every time. You may
have heard the saying that
"Spirit travels on the
breath." It's
important to remember that
this also means that Truth
travels on the breath, true
wisdom travels on the
breath, Love travels on the
breath, and the solutions
you are looking for also
travel on the breath!
And short, shallow breathing
will simply not allow you to
connect to any of these.
Next time you are feeling
anything other than your
natural state of joy and
peace, stop and notice how
you're breathing. If
you're stressed out or
worried, frustrated or
angry, again, stop and take
notice. What you'll
find is that you're taking
short, shallow breaths.
If you stop and consciously
take a few nice, deep
breaths, I guarantee
you will immediately feel
different. And things
will become clearer to you
than they were just a moment
ago.
We all know that people who
have a regular meditation
practice seem to experience
life much differently than
others. And there are many
reasons that this is true.
One of those reasons is that
we tend to breathe in a
different way when we
meditate.
I know we like to make
everything complicated in
this world we've created
around us, but this is one
solution that is pretty
simple. Simple, but
perhaps not easy, as it's
pretty easy to get caught up
in all the activity around
us and forget this simple
solution.
Remember, one important
component of your ideal life
is simply this -- Remember
to Breathe!
Your Two-Week Action Plan

Create some sort of
visual cue for
yourself to remind
yourself to
breathe. Perhaps
it's a sticky note
on your calendar,
computer screen, or
phone. Remember to
honor your own style
and preferences when
you create your
reminder.

Anytime you find
yourself getting
frustrated,
irritated, or
stressed over the
next two weeks, take
a few really deep
breaths. If you're
alone, make your
exhale an audible "aaaahhhh."

Notice how you feel
after you take these
deep breaths. What
changes for you when
you do this?

Think about how
conscious breathing
might help you
create your ideal
life. In what areas
might it be
especially important
for you?
